Empowering Women Through Inclusive Economics
A large segment of Bangladeshi women remains outside the formal economy, often confined to unpaid household roles. This exclusion limits their social mobility and decision-making power.
We are committed to identifying cost-effective, impact-focused, and nationally scalable solutions to enhance, particularly rural women’s participation in the formal economy.
🔍 Focus Area: Economic participation of rural women as a foundation for broader gender equity.
Currently, we are investigating a laundry-microfinance program, modelled on traditional microfinance frameworks in Bangladesh. This initiative aims to:
- ✔️ Create business opportunities for women and youth
- ✔️ Generate stable household income and stimulate local economic activity
- ✔️ Promote greater autonomy and confidence through increased financial control
