Constituency Polling (Ongoing)

Ground-level insights to track political trends in real time

Our Work: Constituency Polling (Ongoing)

Currently, we are conducting face-to-face surveys with a representative sample of voters from every union and municipality within a constituency, to assess public perceptions of various political parties and potential Member of Parliament (MP) candidates. Respondents are selected using systematic random sampling to ensure statistical rigor.

Maintaining Data Quality: A Four-Level Approach

  1. Questionnaire Level: Neutral and inclusive questions cover all major parties (BNP, Jamaat, NCP) and likely MP candidates, eliminating any bias in design.
  2. Enumerator Level: Enumerators are trained to take a strictly non-partisan, academic approach to data collection.
  3. Supervisor Level: Supervisors observe local political discourse without accessing survey results. Their field notes are later cross-validated against the collected data.
  4. Analytical Level: Independent analysts from Germany, the US, and Australia—who lack prior exposure to the context—carry out data analysis to eliminate local biases.

Why It Matters

These ground-truthing surveys are repeated after major political events. This allows us to generate valuable panel data that tracks changing public sentiment and informs better political engagement strategies.

Our end goal is to build a dynamic dashboard that gives parties and political actors clear, data-driven trends—helping them design context-aware and cost-effective interventions.
